How to Create the Ideal Outfit for a first Date
You want to look your best for that first date. Part of that is choosing the outfit that you will wear. There is no one ideal outfit for every person or every date because it will depend on a variety of factors. Consider the following.
First, think about where you are going
You will wear something far different if you are going to a park for your first date as compared to an arcade as compared to a club and so forth. You will want to think about what is appropriate for where the date will be. It is important not to be underdressed. You want the person to think that you made the effort to look nice. Usually you do not lose points for being a little overdressed and showing that you really care. Think about what other people wear there.
Think about the message you want to send out
You might want to get dressed in something very sexy, but understand what you will be saying by dressing like that on a first date. Alternatively, you can look for something that is flattering on you. If you want them to think you are classy, then try for something that compliments you and hints at what you have without being too overt.
Look through your closet for the clothing items that flatter you the most
Do not squeeze your body into something so tight that you cannot breathe. There may be a color that goes with your eyes. There may be something that someone always compliments you on. Try on different things to see what looks the best.
Also think about what the guy might like. If you think that he likes someone very feminine then you can wear a pretty dress, for instance.
Add accessories
Accessories can be flattering and stylish. You can wear some elegant jewelry that compliments the color of your eyes. You may look very sheik with a scarf. Some killer heels might give you some height and sex appeal without being too much. Of course, don’t wear so many sparkly things that you just look over the top. Also, be careful about wearing so much jewelry that he or she thinks you are just into material things.
No matter what you wear it is important that you do not look “scruffy.” The clothing should be clean. If you have to smell it to be sure, then wash it first! There should not be obvious tears or stains.
