To say that Walt Disney World in the summer is hot is an understatement. It can be excruciating. You will want to dress appropriately to help yourself deal with this heat. Consider the following.
Wear lightweight clothing
You want your clothing to be lightweight so that it does not feel overwhelming in the heat. A lot of people choose to wear cotton for their summer Walt Disney World trip. Others will go to a store such as Under Armour and choose material that is specifically meant to hold up well in the heat.
Balance keeping cool with protecting your skin
For many people, the less clothing the better. They may choose to wear tank tops and shorts for instance. However, you have to remember that the sun is very strong in Florida. Some people will feel better wearing a very lightweight long sleeve shirt and pants. You might want to at least consider a shirt with sleeves since people often get very bad burns on their shoulders. It can help them avoid a vicious sunburn. Think about what you are most comfortable in very hot weather. Definitely wear a lot of sunscreen if you choose to wear something that exposes your skin.

Remember that the sun does not shine at night and you may stay at the parks late. There are also many indoor parts. If you are prone to getting cold, then a light jacket may be appropriate.
