How to Lose Weight for your Reunion
(428 Words)
You might not have the same shape that you had back in high school, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look good for your high school reunion. There are different measures you can take to get yourself in shape and ready to impress your old schoolmates.
Get exercising
You want to start an exercising regime. Not only will this do wonders for your health and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke and hypertension, but it will burn off those calories. Try to do at least thirty minutes of aerobics exercise every day. This is exercising where you have a steady elevated heart rate and may include aerobic routines like Zumba, jogging, bicycling and running.
You can also incorporate weight training into your exercises. This can help you tone a certain area. For instance, a man attending his high school reunion might want some nice biceps to show off. You can target the areas you want to highlight.
Be active
Just because you start exercising you should not just sit for the rest of the day. You can burn calories all day by being generally active. For instance, you should try to walk or bike places instead of driving. Go places where you will walk like parks. Try not to spend too much time sitting and watching television. You can even buy a treadmill that is specifically made to be used while you sit at a desk!
Healthy eating
You can get yourself into shape by eating healthy. You should not go on a crash diet that will make you sick. Instead try to cut out food that contains a lot of calories and fat. For instance, try to avoid cakes, sweets, fried fruits and unhealthy meats. People tend to eat very poorly at restaurants so you might want to avoid them or look for ones that have healthier selections.
Do not overeat. You can help avoid doing this by using smaller plates. Also, if you have the “munchies” and feel like you want to eat even if you are not hungry, munch on low calorie foods like a salad. You can count calories, but make sure that you do not cut out too many calories or skip meals. You should just eat mainly healthy foods and eat in moderation.
You can get yourself into great shape for your high school reunion. Do not wait until right before the reunion. The earlier you start the more you can lose weight in a healthy, gradual process. With the right steps you can set a lifestyle that you can sustain.
