Alternatively, you can purchase one that is premade. The ingredients for these are not too expensive, and depending on the size of the jar, it could be several servings worth.

A lot of people enjoy nuts. You can make a nice mix in the jar. You can put in different types in layers so that it makes for an attractive display. You can also get something special such as candy coated roasted almonds. Of course, make sure that they do not have an allergy to nuts when creating such a gift.
