: Money Making Ideas you should Avoid
:
(412 Words)
Many people are looking to make money any way that they can. Many money-making ideas may sound great, but they may be illegal, immoral or just otherwise ineffective. You may want to stay away from the following ideas.
Illegal Activities
Of course you will want to stay away from illegal activities. You can get arrested and go to jail. These include trying to do a Ponzi scheme. Some people feel that they will find a way to legitimately earn enough money in order to get out of the scheme but these usually quickly fall out of control. Obviously you want to stay away from anything that involves drugs. Stealing may make you money but it can also put you away. Think about the risk you are taking with anything illegal and what the consequences could be.
E-mail scams
Many people get offers to make money online through what sounds like legitimate enterprises but are often scams. For instance, the e-mail writer will often claim to be from another country and need the banking information of a person to help them transfer funds and will reward them with some money. Of course once they have your banking information you will not be gaining money but instead losing it. Other e-mail scams have different angles but they often offer you a quick return for doing next to nothing. You should never give out your personal information to someone you do not know.
Assembling items/stuffing envelopes
The ad may be very convincing. You can make $1000 a week by sitting at home stuffing envelopes. Sound too good to be true? It probably is. These money-making schemes range, but they might include working at home assembling items or filling envelopes. In a vast number of these, they are simply scams. Be very careful of any that asks for you to send in money first because that is often their own personal money-making scheme. Oftentimes these do not pay as they claim they will. Some of them have never sent out a dime to anyone. Once in a while you may come up with a legitimate one, but you will want to do your research and you may want to avoid them altogether.
There are many legitimate ways to make money, and you should consider those. If you see any advertisements for schemes then make sure to fully research them first especially if they ask for money upfront. The above techniques are some that are best avoided.
