Most Popular Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is here again and you want to get a truly spectacular costume to impress the masses. There are many costumes that will be popular this year, including the following.
Characters from the movie Avatar
The James Cameron powerhouse has made history at the box office, and adults and kids alike are flocking to dress as the main characters. They make blue jumpsuits for these costumes, which you can buy commercially for adults and children or you can make your own.
Princesses
For little girls, princesses will be again popular for 2010. Little girls might love to dress up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and the Disney store just came out with a gorgeous new deluxe costume. The ever-favorite Ariel from the Little Mermaid is always popular. They might like to dress up as Tiana from the Princess and the Frog. Disney’s upcoming movie Tangled has gotten many little girls interested in Rapunzel. You will also see a lot of little boys dressed as kings and knights.
Barbie
There have been many recent Barbie movies that have been popular and they make costumes to go along with those. For instance, they have a costume for The Mermaid Tale. Also, Barbie’s new fashion movie comes out just before Halloween in 2010, so many little girls will probably be flocking to that.
Toy Story characters
The recent Toy Story III has renewed interest in these costumes for boys and girls. Many little boys love to dress as Buzz Lightyear or Woody. Little girls might like the increasingly popular Jesse the Cowgirl.
Superheroes
Superheroes are always a favorite across the board, but especially for little boys. The upcoming Green Lantern movie may inspire some costumes. Of course there are the favorites of Superman, Batman, Supergirl, Spiderman, and Iron Man.
Rock stars
A lot of people like to dress as their favorite musicians for Halloween. You may have a lot of Lady Gaga costumes this year. Some boys and men are also dressing up as Michael Jackson.
Political figures
The reining politicians often get Halloween costumes made from them. Look to see President Obama, First Lady Michelle and Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Witch
This classic costume shows up year after year. With a black dress, pointy hat and broom, you will see girls and women alike dressed like this.
