Preschool Bulletin Board Ideas i like Summer
(446 Words)
Summer is a fun time of year for children. You can use a bulletin board to teach preschoolers about this great season. There are various elements that you can include in your “I like summer!” bulletin board.
Create a great background
First you want to make a beautiful background. Because so much of the summer is about the sunny outdoors, you can use light blue paper for the sky and stretch out some cotton balls to be the clouds. You can buy wallpaper of beach balls. Alternatively, you may use a bright yellow color.
There are many embellishments you can put into a bulletin board about the summer. Blow up tiny beach balls and mount them to the board. Glue up seashells or a little bit of real sand.
“Things to do during summer” bulletin board
Teach your preschoolers about the typical activities one might do during the summer. For instance, you can place up photographs of kids flying kites, playing on the beach or boarding a plane for summer vacation. Many love to eat the fresh summer fruits so you can mount up play food. Get the kids involved by having them bring in photographs from home that show a past summer.
“Children’s summer art projects” bulletin board
You can make the bulletin board all about the children. Ask them to draw pictures of what they love to do in the summer. You can use your bulletin board to display all of these. The kids can also put together a summer scene. Assign each child to a different element of it.
One idea is to have the kids work together to create a summer beach theme. For instance, one child can use yellow paint and glitter to make a bright sun for the corner of the bulletin board. Another can draw a picture of some kids swimming, which can then be cut out and posted on the board. Other kids can color in beach balls. You can get some real shells and have the kids paint them. Let the kids use their creativity to create a great summer theme.
Other elements
There are many other elements of the summer that you can include in this board. You can show a thermometer and other examples of the fact that it is very hot. You can also include the Fourth of July with American flags, pictures of fireworks, and other American-themed photographs.
Summer is a great theme for a bulletin board, especially as the end of the school year approaches. You can try one of the above ideas in its entirety or combine different facets for a unique board. You will find addition resources at Discovery Education.
