You will have many questions when you go to visit colleges. The college you go to will have quite a big impact of your life, and may set you on a certain path. There are many things about the college that should ask about, and you should make yourself a list before you go to make sure that you cover everything. The following are just a few of the questions to ask while visiting colleges.
How large are the classes?
Many colleges have very large classes, with hundreds of kids in a class or more. Also, sometimes classes are taught by teacher’s assistants. These large classes might make it more difficult for some people to learn. You will want to get a good idea of the class size before you go.
What types of student activities are there?
There are many different activities that different schools have, from sororities to sports to clubs and more. You will want to get an idea of what each school offers.
Is there a healthcare center?
You will want to get an idea of what is offered should you get sick. A lot of schools have an on-campus infirmary to make things easier for the students. You may also want to ask about the student health insurance that is offered, which you may need.
What are the dormitories like?
If you are going to be living on campus you will definitely want to get a look at the dormitories. These can range a great deal at different schools and you want to make sure that you are comfortable.
What are all of the costs as well as financial aid available?
You will want to have a comprehensive view of what it will cost you to go to the college. Schools differ greatly in this and you can easily spend tens of thousands of dollars or more on a school. Make sure that you know what you are getting into before you commit.
What is parking like at the school?
A lot of schools have a parking problem. You want to know if this is going to be a hassle for you.
What type of security do you have?
You want to feel safe on campus. You can ask about the type of security that they employ.
What are the different programs that you offer?

What are the dining options on campus?
You will want to know where you might be eating out. Also find out how the kitchen facilities work in the dorm rooms.
