You have probably had many special Thanksgivings over the years. A scrapbook page can celebrate this special day of the year and can be constructed with the following ideas:
Start with a beautiful background
You will find many different papers to use as a background for your Thanksgiving scrapbook page. For instance, they make some that have pictures of turkeys on them. Some have the fiery leaves of the fall or are a picture of a beautiful path lined with trees. You can also just use a plain color in one of the fall colors. Textured papers can give an added layer of depth.
Place in photographs of the family
Thanksgiving is very much about family and this can be a great item to include in your scrapbook page. You can place in pictures that were specifically taken during this day, you can put in a picture of the table you worked so hard on or the decorations you made, or you can put in photographs of different Thanksgivings throughout the years. Of course you can also just put in special family pictures in general. You can put in as few or as many of these as you want.
Put in Thanksgiving Day mementos
Perhaps your child collected leaves one Thanksgiving Day. You can press these into the scrapbook. Perhaps you had special napkins one year that you used. Think of anything small enough to mount that was special from that day.
Place in your child’s artwork
If you have a child, then some of their Thanksgiving Day themed artwork can make a lovely addition to your page. They can draw a picture of a turkey or a Cornucopia. They might just draw a family picture.
List of what you are thankful for
This can make a sweet addition to your page. Have everyone in the family make a small list of what they are most happy for. You can put these in a beautiful font in fall colors to add to your scrapbook page.
Place in embellishments
There are a great many Thanksgiving Day related embellishments to put in your page. You can put in stickers of turkeys or fall leaves. They make fall-themed ribbons as well. You can put in letter stickers to spell out words like “A Day of Thanks.”
A Thanksgiving Day scrapbook page can be something very special that you can keep for years. Think about adding the above ideas to your page.
