: What to do if you can’t Afford your Dream Wedding Dress

It is what you have been dreaming of. For years you have imagined this moment, and now that you have seen it, you know – it is the one. It is your dream wedding dress. Yet at you glance at the price tag you suddenly realize with horror that it is beyond your range. Is your dream gone? Not necessarily if you consider the following options.
Look for a similar dress
There are literally thousands and thousands of wedding dresses out there. Of course, each is somewhat distinctive, however there are many that are quite similar. If you find a dress that you love that isn’t in your price range, then bring a picture of it to different bridal salons. You can ask for similar dresses. You may find one that you like just as much (or even more!) that is within your price range.
Get a dress made
Some dresses cost not thousands of dollars but tens of thousands of dollars. Of course it is not cheap to get a dress custom made but it can be cheaper than buying some of these very expensive dresses. If you have the funds to get one custom made but not the actual dress of your dreams, then see if you can hire a seamstress. They may also be able to save you a lot of money by starting with a store-bought dress and then adding to it, embellishing it and altering it so that it resembles the dress that you love.
Rent or borrow the dress
There are stores that will rent wedding gowns. You can often get one for a tiny fraction of the cost. If you want something very special for your actual wedding day but do not feel the need to keep it after then you might be able to consider this. An expensive couture wedding gown that would have cost tens in the thousands might be as little as one of the cheapest dresses.
See if you can find the dress for less
Oftentimes you might be able to actually get your dream dress. First you can ask the store if they have a sample. These are the dresses that people use to try on, and they are usually offered at significant savings. You can also look for one on the Internet, such as a source such as www.ebay.com. You might find one that is pre-owned.
Just because your dream wedding dress is out of your price range doesn’t mean you can’t have your dream come true. The above strategies may help you fulfill your wedding wishes.
