Toddler Valentines Day Gifts
Giving gifts is a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your toddler. There are a variety of presents that you can get for him or her, ranging from small and inexpensive to large and pricey. No matter what you get, make sure first that it is appropriate for the age of your toddler.
Valentine’s Day books
There are many excellent books about Valentine’s Day aimed at toddlers. Generally, bookstores make a section of these as the holiday approaches, or you can search online by keyword at a website such as Amazon. They make books that have popular characters such as Dora the Explorer. You can also get a book that talks about how much you love your baby.
Stuffed animal or baby doll
Your little one might like a little one of his or her own to hold and love. They make many dolls that are pink and red and have hearts on them for Valentine’s Day. She can pretend to care for her baby just like you care for her. These can be purchased in stores that sell toys or that have a seasonal Valentine’s Day selection.
Outside plant
Let your toddler nurture something truly alive by getting him or her a plant that you can plant outside and watch grow. There are many easy to grow plants, and what you get will depend on your area (Obviously this might not work in an area that gets very cold in February). You can also choose an indoor plant. You can look for something with pink or red flowers to go with the holiday. Together the two of you can take care of the plant.
Songs about love
There are many different CDs and MP3 collections that contain children’s songs. A song with lullabies that share how much you love your toddler might be perfect. You could also record your own voice singing to your child.
Treat
Your toddler would probably love a little treat for Valentine’s Day, and you will find many themed candies for the holiday. You could get him or her some heart-shaped lollipops or a little chocolate. They make chocolates in fun shapes for the holiday.
Give your toddler something special for Valentine’s Day. Of course consider the exact toys that he or she likes and make sure that it is age appropriate. You can also put together a little gift basket with many of the above items.
