Set up a reward system
Rewards can help you stay motivated to keep on track. For instance, let’s say that you are on a diet. After every successful week you can give yourself a reward such as a trip to the beauty salon. It can even be a small reward such as a $5 bottle of nail polish that you have been wanting. You can set up whatever rewards you want and as frequently that you want. Just make sure that you can afford the reward and that it makes sense (for instance, don’t reward success in your diet with a big piece of cake). You can also make a big reward after you have accomplished something big.

You might be more likely to do it if you feel that someone else is working with you. You could even exercise together. You can try to do whatever it is you are trying to accomplish with someone. You do not even need to be doing the same thing – sometimes it is just about having someone there to help motivate you and to check up, which can help.
Join a group
With certain things, a group might help to keep you motivated. For instance, let’s say that you are a writer and your goal is to write a certain amount of pages every day. There are different writer’s and critique groups, which you can join, which may help to keep you motivated. First, you might be checking in with someone and being exposed to it might make you more motivated.
Think about the reasons why you are doing something
