Wedding Day Accessories

Your wedding dress may be the most important part of your wedding ensemble, however it is far from the only one. You can incorporate many different accessories into your wedding day look. These pieces may be worn before, during or after the wedding.
Jewelry
Of course most women incorporate jewelry into their wedding look. It could be a beautiful diamond necklace. This is oftentimes the something “borrowed” that women have. You may wear earrings, a bracelet and of course your engagement ring.
Look for pieces that compliment your wedding attire. It might be the one time you feel like you can take out your best pieces. You can go for elegant genuine jewelry or sparkly costume jewelry.
Wrap/shawl/shrug
If you are having a winter wedding (or even if not) then you may choose to wear a wrap, shawl or shrug. This can help keep you warm. Some people like to have this because it provides more coverage, which is sometimes necessary for a religious ceremony. It can provide a different look to the wedding outfit and is easily removed. Sometimes a matching wrap comes with the dress.
Hair accessories
You will have your choice of hair accessories to wear during your wedding day. You can choose to be a princess and wear a tiara. These come with pearls, crystals and/or other embellishments. Of course many women choose to wear a veil. You can also wear a headband, clip or a comb in your hair.
Fresh flowers make a lovely addition to any wedding day look. You can tuck a single flower behind your ear or get some added to a headband or a ring to wear on the head.
Belt
A belt can make an excellent addition to a wedding dress. It can actually change the entire look of the outfit. You can buy a simple dress and add a thick sparkly belt that looks like it is part of the dress. There are many belts that you can purchase at bridal salons that are specifically made for bridal gowns.
Purse
You may want to carry a small purse during your wedding day. You can carry important items such as safety pins to fix a dress malfunction, headache medicine, makeup, a mirror and whatever else you need. Get one that matches your dress.
