With an effective daily house cleaning checklist, you can keep your house in great general shape. It can save you from having problems build up, and they can build up quite quickly. You may want to include the following tasks in your daily checklist.
Dishes
When you leave dishes in the sink, the food can harden, and worse – mold can appear. No one wants this. Plus, when the dishes build up, you may not have any to use and you may not even be able to use your sink since it has become a storage area. You will want to make sure that you clear out your dishes on a daily basis. You do not have to necessarily clean them if you at least load them into your dishwasher.
Sweep the floors
When junk gets on the floor it can end up hardening. It can also end up tripping someone. It may get pushed under the couch or somewhere from where it is much more difficult to reach. It does not take too long to sweep. Alternatively you can use a stick vacuum or a dust buster in order to get the dirt.
Wipe down the kitchen
It is very important to keep the kitchen very clean. Invisible and yet dangerous bacteria may harbor from old foods. It may take no time at all to get some disinfecting wipes and just go over any areas that may have touched raw food. It can also help keep dirt from sticking to the countertops.
Clothing into the laundry room/hampers
You do not want to trip over your dirty clothing. You also do not want your guests to see them. For some people with large families, laundry is actually a daily occurrence, but even if not you should make sure that everything makes it into the hampers or laundry room.
Straightening up
You will want to go through your house to put away any items that you see. It may be very easy with just a day’s worth of clutter or mess. If you wait, then it may turn into a much larger job. If you have kids, then you can have them help.
Taking out the trash
You do not want old garbage sitting in your trash bin. Especially if it smells or is overflowing, take it out.
