Bulletin Board Ideas Camping
Camping is a fun activity, and a bulletin board can showcase this in a primary school classroom. Consider the following ideas for this board.
Different activities you can do while camping
The focus of the bulletin board can be on the different things that camping can entail. Of course, most of the kids will know about the tents, but you can also discuss activities like singing by a campfire, roasting food over a fire, playing sports games, hiking, bird watching, swimming, telling stories, sleeping under the stars, etc. You can show photographs of these different activities and put in writing about them. A lot of the kids have probably been camping and might like to be involved. If they have been before they can draw pictures of the activities that they actually did while camping and if they have not been they can draw things they would like to do. You can then post these on the bulletin board as well.
Benefits of camping
There are many reasons to go camping, including the quality family time it provides, learning about nature, learning about self-independence and so forth. You can list and show these in photographs on the bulletin board. The children can come up with their own and you can post those on there.
The tools of camping
If you want more than just papers and two dimensional photographs as your display, you can also post up some of the tools you might use during camping. For instance, you could post up a compass and talk about how to use it. This can help teach the students about the different directions. You put up binoculars and talk about bird-watching, teaching the students about the different flighted and other animals they might see in the wild. You can even make a little model of a tent that can be fun for them to look at.
Places and ways to camp
You can teach the children a little bit about natural areas in a bulletin board exploring some of the different places where one can camp. You can talk about local parks, for instance. You can also talk about how some use tents to camp and how others use campers or other tools. You can use photographs to make the board stand out.
Camping is a fun subject for a lot of kids, and a bulletin board can be a great way to explore this for the children. The above ideas are some that you may decide to incorporate into your board.
