There are many people who can help us stay healthy, and this can be the subject of a bulletin board. Consider the following ideas for such a display for your primary school classroom.
Show photographs of the people who help keep us healthy
You can use photographs to show this theme. A lot of young children may not read very well and might be more interested in photographs. They can include people like doctors, nurses and of course parents. Instead of photographs you can also show drawings or other depictions of these same people. It is also good to get the children involved in making the bulletin board because they might be more drawn to it. You could ask them to draw someone or a group or people who helps to keep them healthy. You can then use the bulletin board as a place to post all of these student projects.
Attach the tools these people use to keep us healthy
The children will prefer a bulletin board that is more interesting to look at, and one way to do this is to actually attach things instead of just pictures, photographs and other two-dimensional images. For instance, you can attach some tools that a doctor would use such as a stethoscope, a tongue depressor, or even a doctor’s coat.
Make the bulletin board be a story about the people who keep us healthy
You can turn the bulletin board into a comic strip or some sort of little story about different people who keep them healthy. The main character can be a little kid that is the same age as the children in the class so that they can relate to him or her. In the story, they can meet the people who do things to keep them healthy. Following along to the story, the children will learn about these people.
Write in information about the people who keep others healthy
For older children who can do a lot of reading, you can go into detail about these professions. For instance, you can talk about the different roles a doctor has, the different types there are, how you get to be a doctor and so forth.
A bulletin board surrounding the people who keep us healthy can teach the children about some of the important people who care for them as well as show careers or jobs they may one day want to pursue. The above ideas can be utilized when making such a board.
