Tips for Finding the best Accommodation for your Disney Trip
You want to find the best accommodation for your Disney trip, or in other words, the best place for you. Everyone has different needs. Consider the following tips.
Make a budget
Before you begin your search, you should know what you can afford. There are many hotels in the area around Disney, and you will find places that are very inexpensive at under $30 a night to places in the hundreds or thousands per night. Calculate how much you want to spend, taking into account that you may have to spend a relatively hefty amount on hotel taxes and fees such as resort or housekeeping fees. When you have a price or at least a range then you can begin your search.
Look at reviews and recommendations
Every hotel is going to tout itself as wonderful. In reality some are far better than others. There are different places online and in other sources where you can find recommendations for hotels. One great source is www.tripadvisor.com. They allow people to rate the hotels. Obviously you might want to choose the higher rated ones. Also, it allows people to actually write about what they liked and didn’t like about the hotel so you can see if the issues relate to you. There are also organizations that review hotels such as AAA. You might want to look for somewhere that is recommended by them. Also, you can look to personal recommendations. Many people visit Disney World thus you might be able to ask people you know if they were very happy with a particular place.
Look at the rooms of the hotel
You want a room that can accommodate the size of your party. You might need something like a refrigerator if you want to keep milk for breakfast. You might want somewhere that has a television with a lot of channels. You might want a bigger place or somewhere with a living room, patio or a kitchen. Also, some rooms have higher quality furnishings such as a nicer mattress.
Look at the features of the hotel
Some hotels have a free breakfast, which you might want so that you can get out quickly to the theme parks. You might want a place that has a gym or shuttle service to the Disney parks.
Look at the location
Some people want their accommodations to be right on Disney property, and you will have different hotel choices in this (although these are generally more expensive than similar hotels off of the property). There are many hotels within minutes of the Disney parks, while others are a little further. Think about how much you want to drive.
There are many factors to consider when choosing a hotel for your Disney vacation. Consider the above tips to help you find the place that is right for you.
