There are many great travel destinations that are good for a weekend of travel. This will of course depend on where you live because you may be able to find a place that you can drive to that would make a great weekend trip. Consider the following ideas.
Las Vegas
A lot of people choose to make Las Vegas a weekend destination. Las Vegas can provide a great time, offering fun gambling, spectacular shows with skilled dancers in dazzling costumes and more. For some, however, it is a lot of stimulation, and they may prefer just a few days worth of it (also to help control any gambling losses). You will find many flights that travel to this popular tourist destination.
Orlando
A lot of people choose to go to Orlando area for a weekend. This is especially great for someone who lives in Florida. You can spend each day at a different theme park such as Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios, Animal Kingdom and more. You can go to two of them or three if you want a long weekend. They often sell multi-day passes to a lot of the parks and some let you “hop” between the different parks in the same day. You will find many inexpensive hotels from under $30 up to much more expensive hotels. There are also many packages that you can get with airfare, a hotel and so forth.
Weekend cruise to the Caribbean
A great weekend trip could be a cruise to the Caribbean. You will find many cruises for two or three days. These are nice because most things are usually included such as food, entertainment and more. They have different cruises that go to ports such as the Bahamas. They usually offer different excursions at the different ports. You will find many different cruise lines from which to choose including Royal Caribbean and more.
New York
New York can be a nice weekend destination. Although there is more there than to fill a weekend, a lot of people cannot afford more than a few days at this expensive destination. You can visit the Empire State Building, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty and more.
Just because you only have a weekend to travel does not mean that you can’t have a great time on vacation. Consider the above locations when making your plans.
