There are many creative ways that you can frost cupcakes. You can make it to practically any theme or occasion. Consider the following fun ideas.
Cupcake animal
One fun idea is to decorate the top of the cupcake so that it looks like a little animal. You can choose practically any animal that you want. For instance, you can use the frosting to make a little puppy dog, a sweet white kitty or a bunny complete with floppy ears. You can use yellow frosting to make a little bird. If it is a little girl, she might like it decorated with a butterfly. You can use different colors to draw out the shape and embellish with pieces of candy. If you are having a party at a zoo, then you can make it be a lion, tiger, giraffe or elephant. You can do all of the same animal or you can make them an array of different animals.
Volcano cupcakes
One cute idea for a boy that likes volcanoes is to make this the top of your cupcake. Put the frosting so that it looks like a volcano. At the top place red frosting so that it looks like lava.
Initials or monogram
A very elegant way to frost cupcakes for a wedding or a shower is to place your initials or monogram on the cupcake. You can first place some simple white (or another color) frosting on it. Then write in cursive or block letters the monogram.
Happy face cupcakes
One very easy but cute way to make cupcakes for a birthday party as well as other occasions is to make happy face ones. You can place yellow frosting on them, and then just use black frosting to make the face.
“Lots to say” cupcakes
You can also use writing for other cupcakes. For instance, if you are having a Valentine’s Day party, then you can place red frosting on them and then write out things like “Be mine” and “Kiss me.” For a teen’s birthday party, you can write out things like “What’s up?” and “Cool, dude.” Try to find some personal things to say and you can do each one differently.
There are many great ways to decorate cupcakes. Think about the theme of your party. You can also look at your paper plate designs and try to recreate that. Use the above ideas to help you make great frosting creations.
