Things to consider before Buying Shoes
The shoes in the store window may look great but that doesn’t mean that they are great for you. Consider the following factors before buying footwear.
How do they look on you?
A lot of shoes look wonderful in the box, but they might not look as good on your feet. Even shoes that look good on someone else’s feet might not be for you. You should try them on and look in the mirror before your purchase. Also, if they have different colors of the same shoe, try on the different ones to see what looks best. Also consider what colors you normally wear.
How comfortable are they?
Some shoes are much more comfortable than others. No matter how great they look they will be of no use if they are sitting in your closet because you can’t stand to wear them for more than five minutes. You should walk in them and make sure that they are not scraping against the back of your foot or anywhere else to create a blister. Also, make sure that you can find a good size. Sometimes a lower size might be too small but one size larger is too big. Make sure you can find one that is right for you.
Think about whether they are good for your feet
Certain types of shoes are better or worse for your feet. For instance, flip-flops are not always good for some people. Also, high heels are not always healthy.
Consider whether they are a good price
Most people want to get good value for their shoes. A lot of times you might be able to find the same shoes for cheaper elsewhere. Once you decide on the shoe, you might want to look around to get the best price. Also some shoe stores have sales and clearance, which might be able to save you money.
What is the return policy?
You may want to find out if they will take back shoes if you are not happy with them. A lot of shoe stores will give you thirty days. Find out if there are any restrictions such as if the shoes need to be unworn. You also need to find out if you need to keep your receipt.
When buying shoes, make sure that you really need and will use them. You do not want to buy pair after pair only to have them clutter up your closet. Also, consider the above factors when deciding whether to make this purchase.
