Mens Hair Cuts Easy Fixes for Bad Hair Cuts
“All done,” gushes the barber as he turns you around to look in the mirror, “How do you like it?” You catch a glimpse of your reflection in the mirror and freeze. What has he done!?!
Although this scenario is undesirable to say the least, it is far from uncommon. Fortunately, there are various easy fixes for bad hair cuts. Consider the following ideas when faced with such a challenge.
Get it re-cut
Perhaps a shorter haircut will look better on you anyways. Go to a barber (a different one!) and get a shorter haircut. For most barbers, this should not be too big a deal and it can completely erase the bad haircut. If you want, you can wait a little while for your hair to grow back somewhat and then go back for another haircut.
Go bald
If the original haircut was too short to be re-cut satisfactorily or if you just want to start over, then consider getting rid of all of it. Many people like this look anyways, and it is low maintenance. In addition, hair grows fairly quickly and in a few months you will have some new hair with which to work.
Wear a hat
If you want a super quick way to hide your botched haircut without needing to get it re-cut, then you can simply put on a hat. Many men like to wear baseball caps when they are out anyways. A big hat should hide most of the problem areas. If you want something a little “funky” then wear a bandana instead.
Wear a wig or a toupee
If you really get stuck, then you could consider wearing some sort of wig or toupee. Be careful with this, however, because some of them do not look very realistic. Decide which would look worse.
Lots (and lots) of hair products
Sometimes a bad haircut can be masked if you use a lot of different hair products such as hair gel or hair spray. You may be able to style your hair so that it doesn’t look quite so bad. You can experiment with different looks or consult with a hair stylist to find ways to get around your bad haircut. You might be able to comb it a certain way that will make it look better.
No one likes a bad haircut, but it happens to almost all of us one time or another. Consider the above easy fixes when faced with such a situation.
