Creative Ways to Decorate with Mirrors
Mirrors are very attractive in a home or office. There are many ways that you can use this material in order to decorate. Consider the following creative methods.
Obtain paintings on mirrors
One pretty and unique decoration is to get some artwork that is on a mirror. Some painters actually paint right on mirrors, and this can be very attractive. If you have art skills, then you can try to create something yourself. You can also commission an artist to make an image on a mirror such as a portrait, landscape or another image. Sometimes the image will be big and in the center of the mirror whereas other times it will just be on the outskirts of the mirror. Sometimes people will sell such items at craft fairs or online. In addition, if you have a picture then you might want to consider getting a mirror as a frame for it. This can be a great way to frame a photograph or other piece of art. Another idea is to have a regular mirror that has a very nice frame on it. You might have a painted frame or some other unusual frame. Also you can get mirrors that are in unusual shapes such as hearts.
Make mirrored walls
Mirrored walls can be a very pretty and a great alternative to wallpaper or paint. A lot of people like to look at themselves, and they might enjoy floor to ceiling mirrors. You can place this in your bathroom, living room or another room in the house. Some even mirror their ceilings! You can also take a hallway or corridor and mirror both sides, which can make it seem like you are in a much larger room than you are actually in.
Get objects with mirrors on it
There are many objects that you can decorate with that are mirrored. For instance, you can decorate with a very pretty mirrored box. You can buy glass pieces and put them on little mirrors. You can use it with candles. You might be able to use mirrors built into your cabinets and wall units. You will find many different objects that incorporate mirrors.
Mirrors can be a very attractive way to decorate, and there are many unique ways to do this. Remember that these are fragile, so use care when deciding where to put them. Consider the above ideas when planning the décor of your home.
