Why you should try on Shoes before you Buy them
Trying on shoes before you buy them is a good idea. The following are just a few of the reasons why you might want to do this.
You can ascertain how they look
Shoes may look great when you see them on the shelf or in the box, but sometimes they do not look as good on your feet. Wearing them can give an entirely different look. Also, just because they look good – or bad – on someone else does not mean they will have the same look on you. It will also depend on your feet, legs and body in general. You will want to try them on so you know exactly how they look.
You can find the right size
Even if you are typically a certain size, shoes are often cut very differently. Many people have in their shoe closet several different sizes of shoe. You may go up a half size in one or down a half size in another. If you try it on at the store you can know if the shoe size is the right one. If not, you are still right there and can try on a different size.
You can decide if they are comfortable
Even shoes that are the right size may or may not be comfortable. Some shoes can bother the back of people’s feet, producing blisters. Others might feel too tight. The heel might be too large. The material might feel scratchy or itchy. Not only should you try on the shoes, but most of the time it is recommended to walk in them a little to get a feel for how they really will be.
You can save yourself the hassle of a return
Sometimes people will buy shoes at the store without trying them on assuming that they will return them if they do not like them. This is not always the best way. Fist, it can be a hassle to return items. Also, you need to put out the money right away and then might have to wait for a refund. Sometimes it is hard to get the refund. Also, a lot of times people forget about it or let it go past the date and end up stuck with shoes that they do not want.
Remember that trying on shoes is not like trying on clothes. You do not have to go to a dressing room and it usually takes but a moment to do. For the above reasons you may want to consider trying them on.
