You do not merely want to get your child something special for his birthday – you want to get him something very special. You want it to be a gift that he will tell his grandchildren about. Consider the following such ideas.
Puppy
Many kids absolutely love dogs and this can definitely be a gift that he will remember. Of course, this is a big investment of time, money and effort so make sure that he – and you – are ready. This can be a great gift to teach him responsibility as well. A dog is the gift that keeps on giving, for he or she can provide years of wonderful companionship. Carefully choose the actual animal. You can also choose another pet such as a cat or bird.
Bicycle
Many little children love riding on bicycles. Most of us remember riding our shiny bikes down the street. It can provide helpful physical exercise and get them out of the house and into the fresh air. Make sure that you get one that is the right size for them. You can get one that will last for a while. Also, they have many that have certain characters on them, which they may enjoy a lot too. You can “spiff it up” with some great accessories such as a bell or streamers.
Vacation
A gift does not have to be tangible for it to be memorable. A lot of kids remember experiences most of all. You can take them on a fun vacation such as a cruise. It can be that trip to Disney World for which they have been begging for years. You can also send them on an adventure such as a trip to Spacecamp.
Big ticket item
There are many other big ticket items your child may like. Many kids love Power Wheels. A child interested in science might love a telescope to use to look at the stars. You could get him or her an inflatable bounce house. A playground can provide hours of fun each day for years. Consider what would get the most use.
If you want to get your child a gift that he will remember for his lifetime, then you will have to think hard. Of course, there may be something special that he has been pining for, and that might be something particular to your child that he would love. Consider the above ideas when choosing your gift.
