Bulletin Board Ideas Diurnal Creatures

Diurnal creatures are mainly active during the day and sleep at night. Humans are diurnal as are domestic dogs and cats. A bulletin board can help teach students about this characteristic.
The day of a diurnal creature
You can feature the day of a diurnal creature in your bulletin board. The bulletin bird can be separated into 4-6 different frames that showcase the different times of the day. You can show a diurnal creature such as a bird. The first frame can be morning time, and you can show the animal waking up. You can show several frames during the day where the animal is playing or having fun. A frame can indicate the evening when the animal is getting prepared for sleep. Finally the last frame can show the nighttime when the animal is asleep.
You want to clearly show the time that each frame depicts. If the children are young, you can show the sun and moon to highlight the day and night. For older children, you can show a clock so that they can understand the exact time.
Night and day bulletin board
The bulletin board does not have to be two-dimensional. Instead make it three dimensional by getting small stuffed animals or figurines of diurnal creatures. Separate the bulletin board into two different sections, nighttime and daytime. The daytime section can be characterized by a light blue sky and puffy white clouds. You can use paint to create this or sky blue and white construction paper. The nighttime section can have a dark blue night sky background with the stars and the moon. Dark blue paint and glitter can depict this.
On the daytime section of the board, place the stuffed animals into poses that show them awake. A bird can be flying in the sky. Show them eating and in motion. On the nighttime side of the board, show the same animals curled up in nests, holes or other sleeping spots.
Information about diurnal creatures bulletin board
For older children, you may want to have more detailed information about diurnal creatures. For instance, you can put up information about how some animals like dogs and cats can be nocturnal in the wild but switch to diurnal schedules to match their human masters. Place in a lot of animals that are diurnal. Include real photographs so that the children can get a good idea of many of the animals that share this characteristic.
A bulletin board about diurnal creature can be interesting and educational. Make sure that it is tailored for the age of the children. Utilize an animal-themed border and place embellishments such as animal stickers. You can also let the children help you with the board by drawing pictures and writing out small reports to mount. With time and effort, you can create an amazing display.
