Many people give themselves backaches by carrying heavy loads. It may be very tempting to save yourself time, for instance, by bringing in every single grocery item in one trip but you may be hurting your back if you do it. There is nothing wrong with taking more trips somewhere so that you do not need to hold as much. If something is too heavy for you, then see if you can ask for help from someone else. No matter how you feel about asking, you will feel worse if you are suffering with major back pain because of it. Sometimes we can even hurt ourselves substantially by carrying heavy items, so you will want to be very careful about this.
Be careful to do exercises correctly
Many people inadvertently hurt their backs while they are actually performing exercises. With many exercises it is very easy to hurt your back. There are different things that you can do to help prevent hurting your back this way. First make sure that you do the exercises correctly. Sometimes it is worth it to get one personal training session after joining a new gym just to learn how to use the machines.

There are many things that we do that can cause backaches. It may be something as simple as having bad posture while you are typing or performing other activities. If your back is hurting, even if it is just a little, then you might want to stop. A little pain now can end up meaning major pain later if you are not careful.
