If you have children, then one nice idea could be to have them make all of the ornaments. Instead of making garland, they can take green paper, cut it into tiny strips and fold them in each other to make a paper chain. If you liked a very popular movie or several movies in 2010, then you can make this the theme of your Christmas tree. For instance, if your kids like Toy Story III, which recently came out, then you can get or make ornaments with this theme. Avatar was re-released this year. A lot of little girls love the Disney movies and the upcoming Tangled movie, the story of Repunzel. Of course you can use a wide variety of movie themes instead of just one.
Winter wonderland
Many people like to have a very elegant Christmas tree. You could even get a fake tree that is white or silver. You can then decorate it with all white, crystal or silver ornaments. Silver garland can sparkle like the stars. You can get glass balls and some that are etched with beautiful sayings. You can also use white cloth ornaments. One nice idea is to take a wedding dress or baptism outfit that you no longer need and use it to make a variety of different ornaments.
