Creative Ideas for Decorating Front Porch for Christmas
There are many creative ways that you can decorate a front porch for Christmas. You should have fun and make it as unique as you are.
Electric lit reindeers and other characters
They sell beautiful electric reindeers and other animated animals. These will often move, and at night they light up brightly. Make sure that you get one that is rated to be outdoors.
Garland and wreathes on your porch rail
You can decorate your porch rail. Take some green garland and drape it along the railing. You can just use the garland or you can add lights to it for a beautiful touch. You can also add red ribbons or other decorations.
You can also use wreathes to decorate, either on their own or in conjunction with the garland. You can place brightly colored ornaments in these.
Christmas trees
There is no reason that Christmas trees have to be just on the inside of your house. You can also put one or more on your porch. It can be a real tree or a fake one. Of course no matter what type of tree it is, make sure that it can survive during the cold winter outside. You can decorate this just like you would decorate a tree on the inside (as long as those are also okay outside). You can put up pretty ornaments and lights.
Nativity scene
You may want to put a nativity scene as a special and spiritual decoration for Christmas. There are many different nativity sets that you can purchase, and these show what the holiday is all about.
Santa Claus
One fun idea is to make a Santa Claus to sit on one of the chairs on your front porch. You can buy an adult Santa suit. You can then fill it with newspaper so that it looks like a real body. Add black shoes. You will have different options for the face. You can purchase a Santa mask, fill it with paper and use that as the head. You could make it out of paper or with other art supplies. You can also purchase one that is already made.
In addition to Santa Claus, you could also include Mrs. Claus. You could have some of the reindeers and even create your own sleigh on your front porch for the kids and neighbors to enjoy.
Use creativity when decorating your front porch for Christmas. Bring one of the above ideas to life for a beautiful look this holiday season.
