As nice as a band is, you may literally pay one-tenth the price for a D.J. A D.J. can still be very nice, and they can play all of the music that you like. As you are dancing at your wedding, talking to your loved ones and cherishing your new spouse, you may not even notice.
Save on food
Sometimes simple measures can save you a lot on food. Catering companies will often have a variety of menus. The cheaper one may not seem like much less money, but when you add it up over all of the guests it might be significant. A lot of them will also give you a better deal if you give the guests fewer choices of meals (it is easier for them to prepare fewer meals). Also, by doing a lunch time instead of a dinner time you may literally pay half the price.
