(412 Words)
Filled with flowers, a spring wedding can be lovely. Yet a wedding in this season comes with both advantages and disadvantages. Carefully consider all of these to know if this is the right season for your event.
Advantages
Flowers
A lot of people equate spring with the flowers, and a lot of people equate flowers with weddings. You may want to have an outdoor wedding, and the thought of doing so with flowers blooming everywhere might be oh-so-tantalizing. You may have a great choice of flowers for your wedding since so many are in bloom. You may be able to get married in a park with a cornucopia of colors all around.
Spring feels like a time of new beginnings and rebirth
A lot of people think of the spring as a time of beginning anew, and this might be exactly what they want for their wedding. The harsh winter is over and now everything is starting to come alive in vivid color.
The weather might be just perfect
The spring weather in many areas is very nice. You may not want a winter wedding because you feel that it would be too cold. You might not want a summer wedding because it would be too hot. Instead the spring might be just the perfect time.
Disadvantages
Some people with children might not be able to come
Almost all children are off during the summer and during the week after Christmas, so if you had made it then, then you would know that families would not have to take their kids out of school to attend the wedding. Most kids are in school for almost the entirety of the spring. Although there is spring break, this ranges greatly depending on the school district so if you have families coming in from all over, then you may have difficulty finding a time when all kids are out of school. Some people will not travel if it is during the school year.
The weather
Although the weather was listed as an advantage, it can be a disadvantage depending on where you live. Some places get a lot of rain during certain parts of the spring. If you want an outdoor wedding, then rain is obviously not something you want.
When considering the springtime months for your wedding, make sure that you are aware of both the pros and cons so that you can make an informed choice. The above points are some to consider.
