Toddlers do not have long attention spans, and want to be entertained each and every second. One great way to both entertain and educate them is to use games. You will need a variety of different games to keep your little one entertained.
First, you might want to try the classic games that toddlers enjoy. Peek-a-boo is a favorite of many different toddlers. You could also play a simple game of Simon Says. Matching games can be both fun and educational for a toddler. You can make these yourself. Take paper and cut it into squares. You and your toddler can draw different shapes on it such as triangles and hearts. You can also make some different colors, letters or numbers. Make two of each. Turn them over and then have your toddler try to match them. Not only will your child enjoy the game, but he or she will learn about these concepts.
You can even turn cleaning into a game with your toddler. Have a race to see who can dust a counter the fastest, for instance.
