You want to take your toddler out to enjoy a playdate with a little friend. There are many places where you can have a playdate with a little one. Try a variety of different ideas to expose your child to many fun activities.
House
You can do a playdate at a house, and there are many fun activities you can set up for a toddler. You can have a sports day in the backyard and set up a soccer net, a toddler size basketball hoop or a tee-ball set. This can help the children get out their energy and works well if you are having a playdate with multiple kids. If it is the summer, you can set up some water fun with a slip and slide and hoses (make sure to properly supervise your children during any water activities).
Bounce House
A bounce house place can be a lot of fun for toddlers. Many companies offer bouncing fun including Froggie’s Playhouse and Monkey Joe’s. Some of these have a special toddler section where the little ones can jump. Check with your local bounce house place to find out how busy they get because some do get a little crowded and might be difficult for a toddler.
Park/Playground
A park and playground is a very cost effective playdate for toddlers. It can cost absolutely nothing, but can give children many hours of fun. It will give them important physical activity. There are many parks and playgrounds across the country, but some of them are too dangerous for toddlers. Look for one that is good for toddlers and make sure to supervise him or her. You can also take the children on a nice walk through nature.
Arcade
Look for an arcade that is specifically made for very young children, such as Chuck E Cheese. These can be extremely reasonable if you get a special on the tokens. They offer little rides for the children as well as age-appropriate games. You can also enjoy lunch.
Children’s Museum
A children’s museum provides not only fun, but an educational benefit to toddlers. There are many such museums around the country such as the Young at Art Children’s Museum in Davie, Florida. Many of these have special exhibits that allow toddlers to explore their creativity and learn about the world.
