Of all of the people for whom you are getting gifts, you might want to be especially careful when picking out the one for your boss. For many this is the best gift. Many bosses would appreciate some nice alcohol (as long as you know that they drink it and it is appropriate in the type of field that you are in). Food gift basket
A food gift basket can be a lot of fun. You will often see these at places like Costco around the holiday season. They may contain foods like cheese, crackers, cookies and a wide assortment of other items. Some have a theme like chocolate. They come in different sizes so you can tailor it to your budget. Also, you can make your own gift basket. Make sure you adhere to any dietary restrictions that they have such as allergies, low fat, vegetarian, etc.
Something for his desk
Your boss might like something useful for his desk. There are many great gifts that you can get personalized, which might be a nice touch. You could also get him a very nice personalized pen and pencil set.
There are many other gifts that you can consider for your boss for 2010. You should consider his or her likes. If he just loves a sports team like the New York Jets, then perhaps you can get him tickets to a game, some apparel or a collectible sports item. If your boss is a woman and has butterfly related items all over her office, then you can get her a figurine related to that. You can get him or her a DVD or CD gift basket with a variety of items. Of course you could also do a gift certificate to a restaurant, movie theater or somewhere else but make sure it is for a decent amount. Think about what would impress him the most.
