How self Esteem can be Learned

A lot of people were simply not born with high self-esteem. Learning these skills can help you lead a happier and more fulfilled life. There are various ways in which this skill can be learned.
Change your thoughts
A significant cause of negative self-esteem is having an inner voice telling you negative things. For instance, when you see a girl in which you are interested, you may automatically say to yourself that she will not like you even if you have no reason to believe that is true. Instead you should change the negative thoughts into positive ones. Instead of anticipating the worst or thinking the worst of yourself, you should say positive things to yourself. You can say that she may like you. And if she rejects you, tell yourself that it is her loss. When bad things happen, you should deal in a positive manner. Whenever you hear a negative voice, change it.
You can also inject positive thoughts into your mind at random times. Make a habit that every day you will think of three good things about you and your life. You can write these out and post them up so that you can see them.
Read a book
There are many books that deal with learning to increase your self-esteem. You can peruse the different options to see if one of them has strategies, which you can employ. You cannot succeed if you do not try. There are many different things that you can do instead of sitting at home and wallowing in your perceived failure.
Understand that everyone has faults but they do not define you
No one is perfect. The difference is that someone with low self-esteem might let their faults define them whereas someone with higher self-esteem will them in a healthier way.

It is important to have high self-esteem. Even if you are not born with it, you can take steps to learn it. Of course you need to decide that you really want to, but with work you can set yourself up for a happier life.
