Home renovations can leave your home looking and feeling beautiful, but it is not always left completely clean. You may want to clean as soon as possible so that you can enjoy all of the new work.
First you will need to put things back into place. When home renovations are done, the workers may have had to move certain items or furniture so that they could work. They may have had to empty an entire room! Now you need to make sure that everything is back in its proper place. You may have also moved jewelry and other valuable items out of reach from the workers. Place that back as well.
Next you will want to make sure that all nails, screws and remnants of the renovations are gone. It is very important to look for those items since they could be dangerous if someone steps on them. If you have small children, then it is even more vital. You might want to vacuum, moving aside couches and other furniture under which these items may be hiding. You could also sweep. Once all of the small items are off of the floor, you may want to consider mopping. Someone may have spilled something on the floor. Even if they had not, you may have had a lot of people stomping in your home with dirty work shoes, which your kids may now walk or crawl on.
If you have carpeting you may need to vacuum to get up all of the dirt. You could also get your carpet professionally cleaned if you find that you cannot get all of the dirt off yourself.
You may also need to dust. When your home gets home renovations they may drill, cut wood or do other things that can release dust into the air. It can then settle on furniture and other items.
You may also need to take a cleaner and wipe down areas. You may find little specks of dirt from the work. If they painted then you will sometimes find specks, which you have to remove. You may need to get something to help you clean such as a Magic Eraser.
When home renovations are done on your house, you will often have a lot of work cleaning it up afterwards. Follow the above steps and you will soon be reaping all of the rewards of the beautiful improvements.
