A football game date can be extremely enjoyable. Even someone who does not generally watch football can enjoy the time spent at the game with a significant other.
There are different ways that one may have a football game date. First you may actually go to the game itself. You may also watch the game at one of your houses or at a location such as a restaurant or bar.
Before you go on your football game date, you may want to learn a little about the teams, the players and the game itself. You may be able to get much more into the game if you know what they are talking about. You can learn about the history of the players and teams, and you may want to root more for one of them because of it. You can also help to get yourself in the spirit by dressing up.
Enjoy the entire experience
When you are at a football game date, you do not want to just sit there staring at the game. Get some yummy treats to eat. Bring binoculars if you are at the game so that you can see it. If the crowd chants or does something then join right in.
You should also be sure to enjoy the date aspect of the game. Talk to your date. If you do not understand parts of what is going on, then ask him or her to explain it to you. If you have a rivalry, then joke around with it. Get a nice conversation going with him or her.
Root for a team
Even if you truly could care less about who wins, pick a side and root for them. You will probably have the home team there, so it can be easy to decide for whom to root.
Get excited
When your team scores a touchdown, then get up and scream with the rest of the stadium. You may start to feel more of a bond with your date as you get excited about the same things. Give him or her a big high five or a hug when something really great happens such as an interception by our team. Console him or her when the team does not do as well. Yell that the referee is crazy when there is a bad call. Try to get into it, and enjoy being close to your date at the same time.
