How to Make a Picnic Themed Wedding Card Box
A picnic themed wedding card box can be very cute at a wedding. There are many ways to make such a craft, and you do not need to spend a lot of time or money. Consider the following ideas.
Picnic blanket covered card box
First you need to just start with a general box. You can buy a white cardboard box and cut out a hole in which to put the cards. You can then get a red and white checked piece of cloth that looks like a picnic blanket. It can actually be a piece of a picnic blanket, some fabric you find or even just a placemat or piece of clothing repurposed. Drape it over the box, cutting out the space over the hole for the cards.
Wrapping paper covered box
One easy and inexpensive way to make such a box is to just cover it with wrapping paper. Get the basic box as described above. You can then try to find a wrapping paper that has some sort of picnic theme. It might have tables or picnic baskets on it. It can even be a beach or sunny theme. You can just wrap it like it is a present, again making a space for the hole.
Design your own picnic themed wedding card box
Start with a basic white box. You can then get some art supplies and get to work. For instance, you can get some paints and paint little picnic tables, picnic baskets, food, picnic blankets, the sun, birds, trees and other motifs related to picnics on it. If you are better with colored pencils, then you can use those. You can even use markers or crayons if you would prefer. You can also embellish it with things like glitter, feathers, sequins, beads, crystals and other items. You can use stencils to help you create the designs. If you feel like you cannot create this at all, then another idea is to cover it with different stickers with this motif.
Picnic basket card box
Your card box can actually be a picnic basket. You will find many different versions of these. You can leave it open or you can create some sort of slot yourself. You can tie on pretty ribbons to match the colors of your wedding.
