Playdate Ideas for Preschoolers

It is important to get preschoolers together for playdates to help them learn the social skills they will need as they grow. What’s more, it can be a whole lot of fun. Consider the following ideas for such events.
Preschool games
A lot of preschoolers love to play games. Of course you need to get one that is specifically made for this age group, and there are many board games that are. Games can also teach them about taking turns and about how you win sometimes and lose sometimes.
Playground
A lot of preschoolers love to play on playgrounds. If you have one at your home, then this can be ideal; otherwise you can look for a community one.
Water fun
If your playdate is during the warmer months, then you can consider having something to do with the water. It is amazing how much fun a kiddie pool and slip and slide can be to little kids. Of course, make sure that you supervise children 100% of the time when having water activities.
Fashion show
If your children are girls, then one of their favorite activities might be dress up. You can have the kids put on a fashion show. They can put on all different outfits and come out and show them to the audience of parents.
The kids might also like to put on some other type of show. For instance, preschool boys and girls alike can make a puppet show. They also might like to do some sort of dance or singing routine.
Crafts
Crafts can be an inexpensive and fun way for preschoolers to explore their creativity. They are also great for playdates. You can purchase an inexpensive kit at a store like Michael’s Arts and Crafts, come up with your own original craft idea or get a book that shows how to make crafts from household items. Of course make sure to get a project that is appropriate for this age. You can have them make one larger craft or a variety of several. It can be of a theme such as a princess wand and crown for two little girls. Also, you can have the kids do an art project instead by bringing out paper and some paints.
Cooking
A lot of preschoolers love to help cook. They may enjoy making something fun like chocolate chip cookies. Of course, make sure to be safe in the kitchen.
Gardening
Preschoolers may enjoy planting some flowers. It can be healthy for them to be outdoors, although put on sunscreen if they will be in the sun for a long time.
There are many great activities that preschoolers can do during a playdate. Try the above activities with your kids.
