Preschool Bulletin Board Ideas November
When the month of November arrives, you may want to make a bulletin board for your preschool classroom. There are many ways you can celebrate this month through such a display.
Celebrate the fall
You can use your November bulletin board to teach the students about the beautiful seasons, specifically the fall season, which so many associate with November. You can make the bulletin board look like one big autumn tree. You can use construction paper or paint to make the bottom of the bulletin board be the ground and the background blue for the sky. You can then use brown paper to make a bark to the tree. You can then cut out fiery paper leaves of yellow, orange and red and attach them to the top of the tree.
It is great to get the preschool children involved in the bulletin board, and you can easily do this with the idea described above. Simply have the children design leaves for the tree. They can practice their cutting skills by cutting out leaves from paper. You can then have them glue different embellishments on the leaves such as glitter and sequins. They can color them with markers or crayons. The tree can then be a creation of all of the different students.
Make a bulletin board about the holidays of November
Of course, Thanksgiving is well-known, even by many preschoolers. You can have the bulletin board surround this wholesome holiday. You can put up pictures of turkeys or pilgrims. You can use the board to teach them about the history of the first Thanksgiving and about American Indians. You can put up pictures of food commonly served at Thanksgiving. You can get the preschoolers involved by letting them draw pictures of what Thanksgiving is like for their family and the people with whom they celebrate it. You can also include Veterans’ Day and an American theme in the bulletin board as well.
In the November bulletin board you can also include other facets of this month. You can put up real dried leaves from outside. You can show pictures of the foliage in the different parts of the country. You can highlight students who have birthdays in the month of November (this is best if you do a bulletin board for every month so that everyone will get a chance to be up there).
