Fun Art Projects for a Boys Birthday Party
There are many fun art projects for a boy’s birthday party. What you do will depend on the age of the boys, of course, however the following are some to consider.
Design your own superhero cape
Many boys love superheroes. You can have them design their own cape. You can get some fabric in blue, red or other colors and cut it into the general shape of a cape. You can add a tie so that they can tie it together at the top. You can then get some fabric paint or fabric markers and let them decorate the back of it. They can make it the cape of a well-known superhero like Batman or Superman or they can design it however they want it with their name. This can be a great keepsake from the party.
Make your own crown
Many young boys think of themselves as kings, so you can have them design a crown. You can use construction paper to cut out the general shape of a crown that can be folded and taped together (think Burger King crown). They can then color on it with crayons, markers and paints and embellish it with items like glitter, feathers, beads and anything else you think that they would like. They can then wear it home.
Ship in a bottle
Many boys have seen ships in a bottle – now you can have them make their own. You can get plastic bottles such as two liter soda bottles or even just smaller water bottles. Cut off the end at the bottom and save it. At the party, have the children make a boat out of paper, popsicle sticks or whatever other art materials you have. They can make something to reminiscent of water such as blue plastic or blue beads. They can then insert these into the bottle like you would see in a ship in a bottle. You can then re-attach the end with masking tape. They can then cover that part with paper or other decorations so that it does not look like tape.
There are many other simple art projects that you can do at a boy’s birthday party. You can have them design a foam door hanger for their bedroom door. You can get t-shirts or baseball caps, and let them decorate those with whatever they want. You could have them paint something that is wooden like a box or a picture frame. Use your creativity and you will come up with a great art project for the party.
