If you are trying to lose weight, then you might choose to motivate yourself with rewards. Of course the reward a lot of people generally use in life is ice cream or another food that is bad for you. This will not work when you are on a diet. There are many other healthy rewards that you can choose instead for reaching weight loss goals.
You might choose to get a present for yourself. For instance, you could buy a new bicycle or roller blades so that you can add in some physical activity to help with your weight loss goals.
This reward can be whatever you want it to be. For instance, if you want a small piece of jewelry or something for the house, then you can get it when you reach your weight loss goal. Of course this does not work if you are having financial difficulties, but it can be a great way to motivate yourself if that is not an issue.
You can buy some new clothing when you reach your weight loss goal. As you lose weight you will probably need some new clothes anyways. You can allow yourself to choose one new snazzy outfit or get something in particular that you have been eyeing for a while. It may look better on you now.
You can also go out as a special treat for reaching a weight loss goal. For instance, you can go out for a night on the town. You can catch a movie. If it is a big goal then you may even choose to go out on a vacation. You can tie the vacation in to your new healthy goals. For instance, you can go to a bed and breakfast in the country where you will go hiking and do other physical activity. You can choose a cruise that has healthy and active excursions.
You can also treat yourself to some healthy treats when you lose weight. For instance, if there are some fruits or a very healthy restaurant that you usually do not splurge at then you can do that.
There are many miscellaneous treats that you can choose. You might go and get a massage to make yourself feel good. You can get your hair and nails done in a makeover to compliment your new body. Spend the day at the spa.
There are many healthy rewards that you can give to yourself when you reach your weight loss goals. Do what will work for you and your budget.
