One of the hottest wedding dress styles is to add a belt to your wedding dress. These are not the typical belts that you may think of when you imagine the word belt. They are not made of leather but instead satin, silk or a similar fabric and many have crystals, beading and other embellishments. The following are some of the benefits you can get by wearing a belt.
Advantages
It can help put some sparkle into a dress
You may have purchased a simpler wedding dress. Many do not have any beading or sparkle at all. You may have just liked the dress or it may have found it suited you in other ways. A sparkly belt can give the dress that something extra. It can make a rather ordinary dress suddenly look extraordinary.
It can be a less expensive way to add something extra.
Crystals and beading do tend to add cost to a dress with everything else being equal. You may not be able to afford a dress with all of that. Although belts do cost you may find that it is cheaper to buy the belt and add these embellishments rather than buying a dress that already has them.
It may draw your eyes away from a problem area
You may not want your guests to be staring at your hips or other areas that you are worried about. The belt may draw their eyes up instead.
It can give you a unique look
You may think that others have your wedding dress, but fewer will pair that dress with that belt. You may like the thought of having a more unusual creation.

The cost
If you already have a wedding dress, then anything is just added cost. You may not want to spend more when you have already spent so much for the dress.
You may worry about it matching
You obviously want something that will look like it is part of the dress. You may be self conscious about this.
You do not want to have to worry about it coming off
If done right, you should not have to worry about the belt falling down, but some brides have this concern. You certainly do not want it to start to fall down!
