Why you should not Delay your Childs Vaccines

A lot of people have jumped on the bandwagon of delaying children’s vaccines, however it is very important not to do so. There are a multitude of reasons for this.
They could get the disease while you have delayed the vaccine
Some of the diseases that your child is vaccinated against such as polio and chicken pox can be very serious. If you do not give the vaccine, then that child can get that disease. Sadly there has been a reemergence of some diseases that were at lower levels because of people delaying the vaccines. The vaccine schedule is made for a reason and even postponing it a little bit opens up a window.
Many people worry about the effects of the vaccine without thinking about these diseases. Because these diseases are so rare in America (because of the vaccines) many parents just do think of them. They do not realize how dangerous they are and how some of them can even be fatal. Is it worth the risk to delay a vaccine?
Studies have not shown the benefit of waiting
Unfortunately, a lot of people have linked the vaccines with autism. However, many reputable studies have shown no correlation. It is difficult when a child is diagnosed with autism, and many parents struggle for any reason with which to explain it. Because many vaccines are given at around the time autism appears, many parents try to place this link. Anecdotal stories are no substitute for formal science, however, and just because a celebrity wrote a book giving her take on it doesn’t discount the studies of much research. Even if there were a miniscule link – which nothing at all seems to indicate – then you also need to think about the advantages and disadvantages. Vaccines clearly prevent a lot of conditions – this has been proven. Even if it was a cost /benefit scenario, do you want your child getting any of the extremely serious diseases that he or she could be vaccinated against?
The threat of not having your child vaccinated can be so high that many schools and day care facilities will not even take a child who has not been vaccinated against certain ones. They do not want anything to spread through the school.
Some parents do not want to give their kids so many shots as once, but again, this schedule was created by professionals. A little baby will not remember soon thereafter. They would not pair them together if they did not feel that it was safe and important to have these disease fighting antibodies in them.
You will hear a lot of research about vaccines with your new baby. Delaying them could mean a disease from the history books will appear in your child, and then you cannot go back.
