What is a Destination Wedding
A destination wedding is a great way to celebrate your special day. There are many ways that you can plan such an event, and everyone’s day will be different.

There is no one place that it has to be – the wedding couple may go somewhere that seems romantic or has special significance for them. Some couples will find a resort that offers a destination wedding package and have most things done for them. Others will plan everything themselves including the hiring of different vendors such as a caterer, band, photographer, etc. Some people will have a wedding coordinator to help them plan it from afar. A lot of couples will then honeymoon at the destination, with or without their family members.
There are many common places where people have destination weddings. A lot of people choose to have a beach wedding. You can go to a beach such as Miami Beach or Ft. Lauderdale Beach. A lot of people choose to go to the Caribbean. There are many resorts such as Atlantis and Sandals that offer numerous packages for those who want a destination wedding. A lot of people will go to Law Vegas to get married. Other popular destinations include New York City, Niagara Falls and Walt Disney World.
Many destination weddings are not as large as traditional weddings. The travel costs can be prohibitively expensive. Some people who are very well off may pay for their guests to travel but that is generally not required or even expected. A lot of people will just have their closest family and friends go with them. Of course someone with the funds and inclination and whose guests are okay to travel may be able to have a large scale destination wedding.
There are many advantages to a destination wedding. If you get a package that is all-inclusive then you will not need to worry about many of the small wedding details. It can also be a lot less expensive because it is often so much smaller. It can be a great way to get around having a huge wedding since so many people are likely to say no. It can provide an experience that you can remember forever.
