Many people find that a weight loss blog can help them lose weight as well as help inspire others to do the same. Different bloggers write in different ways, however the following are some elements you might want to include in your blog.
Your weight loss goals and to date success
You want to be sure to write down where you want to get to. Some people will place a chart that shows where they began, how much they want to lose and how much they have lost to date. Some will break down their weight loss according to week, month or another time period. You might also put in other goals related to your weight loss such as inches you want to lose or a dress size that you want to fit into.
What you are doing to lose the weight
If you are losing weight, chances are that it is through a combination of eating less/healthier, exercise, increased activity and other strategies. You can discuss these in your weight loss blog. Some people are very specific and might give the exact times they exercise as well as the exercises themselves. Others are more general. Some of them will go very specifically into their diet plans, perhaps even listing every single thing that they eat on their diet.
How you are overcoming obstacles
A lot of people will use their weight loss blog to talk about the obstacles they are facing in their weight loss journey and what they are doing to overcome them. For instance, they may talk about overcoming cravings. They may discuss setbacks they have had and how they are keeping themselves motivated. They might also talk about their emotions as they are losing weight and how the plan and the loss itself is making them feel. They may also talk about how they are adapting their weight loss plans as time goes on. You might also talk about other people who are involved with you and your weight loss such as those you are losing with.
Pictures
This is strictly optional. Some people choose to put in photographs of how they look as they are losing the weight. It might help to motivate them to see the progress they are making. It can help make the blog come to life for readers.
A weight loss blog can be a useful tool for yourself and a great resource for others. Consider including the above elements in your blog.
