Silk flowers are an extremely viable option for a wedding. There are many advantages to using these in place of fresh flowers, and these include the following.
They are often less expensive
You can save a great deal of money by utilizing silk flowers instead of real ones. Many florists charge a great deal for fresh flowers and it is not unusual to spend $100 or more per arrangement. Multiply that by the number of arrangements you need and you can easily spend thousands of dollars on flowers. With silk flowers, many florists have arrangements that they just rent out to people. Because they can use the same ones over again, they can charge far less. You may literally pay a fraction of the price. This is especially true for flowers that are normally very expensive.
You can do it yourself
A lot of people might have trouble putting together fresh flower arrangements for their wedding. If you choose silk flowers then there are many stores that you can go to that sell such items. You may be able to save even more money by doing it yourself.
You can get flowers that are out of season or otherwise unavailable
Not all flowers are always available. It may depend on the season or where you live. Silk flowers are obviously of no season and can give you the look you want, even in the middle of the winter.
They often look very realistic
Some people do not want silk flowers because they feel that they will obviously look fake. Some might, but many look quite real. With good quality ones, there is a good chance that your guests will not realize it.
You do not have to worry about them going bad
Fresh flowers live an extremely short time span. Many couples are unhappy by how they look by the time the wedding occurs. No one wants brown flowers. Silk flowers obviously do not die. You can get them earlier and get them set up far more in advance. With fresh flowers you usually have to do it right before the wedding in an attempt to make sure that they are still good. Also if you are buying and not renting the flowers, it can be something that you can have as a keepsake.
One option that a lot of people choose is to intermix fresh and silk flowers. When you do this, it might be barely noticeable but can make the arrangements seem much more bountiful for little more expense. Silk flowers should be considered a reasonable option for any wedding.
