Best Footwear Products for Dorm Showers

Dorm showers are far from private, and you may not feel comfortable exposing your feet to whatever has washed away from thousands of other showers. Of course you do not want to ruin your good shoes by running them through the water. Consider the following footwear products for dorm showers.
Flip-flops
This is probably the most common footwear of choice for college students taking showers. One plus is that they are extremely cheap. You can even often get these for a $1 at a dollar store or at other sources. Many other stores sell them for just a few dollars. This is good because shoes that you constantly use in the shower might not last as long as other shoes. You want something that you will not feel bad if it gets ruined and is cheap enough that you can go through several pairs without worrying about the money.
Flip-flops are convenient for use in a dorm shower for other reasons as well. First, you want to be able to clean your feet. When you are wearing flip-flops, most of your feet is still exposed. It is obviously very easy to clean the top of your foot while you are still wearing them. They are also very easy to slip on and off so that you can clean the bottom of your feet. Flip-flops also look good and will likely be worn by many others. Many find them comfortable and they make different styles for different people. You might want to avoid spending a lot of money or getting one with embellishments if you think that the water will just ruin it.
Water shoes
There are shoes that are specifically meant for the water. Many of these are generally made to protect your feet at the beach or pool, but there is no reason that you cannot wear them for your dorm room shower. What is great about them is that they are made for the water so they may hold up in the shower much better than other footwear products that you would consider. Many of these are relatively easy to slip on and off as well.
When looking at shoes for your dorm shower, there is one very important consideration. Make sure that you get something that is not at all slippery. Filled with soap, the shower floor and shoes prone to slipping can spell disaster. Flip-flops and water shoes are two of the best footwear products for dorm showers.
