A bulletin board can be a great way to celebrate the beautiful season of fall in a classroom. There are many ways that you can design such a board. Consider the following ideas.
Create a nice background
First you will start with the background of your bulletin board. It can be something simple such as white or colored paper, but there is much more that you can do. You can take some fall-themed wrapping paper and use it to line your board. During this time of year you can often find wrapping paper with leaves, fall colors and other autumn-related items. If you have difficulty finding something at the store, then you can look online. In addition, you can also use fabric to line the background of your bulletin board This can look very vibrant. They also have a lot of seasonal fabrics. You might be able to find something at a store such as Joann’s. You can also use markers, crayons or paints to decorate the background.
Make a tree with falling leaves
Falling leaves is one of the hallmarks of fall, and this can be part of your bulletin board You can use construction paper to make a big tree. Show leaves falling. You can make the leaves as big as you want and you can put different things on them. For instance, you may put a picture of each of the students on the leaves. If it is an art class then you might let the students decorate a leaf and put those up. If you are teaching the children to read, then you can put different easy words on the leaves, or even the colors of them. If it is a science class then you can put different science facts on the leaves. There is really no limit to what you can do except your imagination.
Celebrate the fall holidays
One great bulletin board is to celebrate the different holidays that appear in this season. One very common one that you see on bulletin boards around the country is Thanksgiving. You can put in pictures of pilgrims, turkeys and other items related to this. You can paint them in, put in pictures you print off of the Internet or design them yourself with art tools like markers and crayons.
A fall themed bulletin board can be a great way to explore this season. The above ideas might help you get started on your board.
