There are many gadgets that can be very useful for the tech-savvy student. The following products may make their lives easier while they learn.
Laptop computer
A tech-savvy student should have a laptop computer. Many schools allow students to bring in their laptops to class. They can use it to take notes, which might be easier than to write it by hand for some students more accustomed to typing. Also, some schools are actually integrating computer work into the classroom.
The students might also want something small and portable that they can use to surf the web. They could get a netbook or the very popular IPad. They could get a plan with it so that they can be on the Internet wherever they are. They can answer e-mails and do school assignments.
Smartphone
A lot of tech savvy students might like smartphone to carry around. You can conveniently have the power of the Internet in your pocket. A lot of people do not want to carry a netbook or laptop around and this could be a good compromise. There are many smartphones available today. One of the most popular ones is the IPhone. The Samsung Moment and HTC Hero are also very popular. You can also look into the HTC Evo , which can run on a 4G network (where available) as well as tether five laptops to the Internet. Many of these smartphones also have some great apps that could be useful to the students. For instance, on the Android System you can get Google sky maps, which lets you point it at the sky and see the constellations that are there, day or night. They also have GPS systems, which a lot of students might find practical. There are many other apps that a student would like.
IPod
A personal listening device such as an IPod can be great for students in and out of the classroom. Some of them can be used to record lectures if you get the microphone, the TuneTalk from Belkin. Also, Apple is reaching out to students by contracting with different universities to allow students to download college lectures. This is called ITunes U, and you may be seeing more of it in the future.
A tech-savvy student will find many different gadgets from which to choose to help them with their schooling. The above products are some that they might consider.
