Valentine’s Day is a great theme to use as a scrapbook page. There are many ways that you can craft such a page. Try the following ideas.
Make a “lovey-dovey” background
Some choose to make a plain red or pink background. Others might purchase some Valentine’s Day wrapping paper to use as their background. You might take red or pink foil to make it nice and shiny.
Place in photographs of special Valentine’s Days
Many people like to include pictures for their scrapbook pages, and this can be just perfect for such a loving page. If you have a significant other, then you can put in pictures of you celebrating Valentine’s Day throughout the years. You can also show photographs of you during special times such as your first date or wedding.
Place in love poems
You might want to have some special prose to represent Valentine’s Day. You can take some famous poems and put those in as part of your page. You can also write a poem to make it very customized. Even something of the “Roses are red, violets are blue…” variety can be very pretty.
Instead of poems, you can also put in quotes about love. There have been many or you can come up with your own special saying. You can also use different headlines for your Valentine’s Day page such as ” The Valentines” or “The Day of Love.”
Place in love-related mementos
This will be personalized to you and your love. If you are married, then perhaps you want to put in a personalized napkin from your wedding. If you went to a special dinner on Valentine’s Day then you can put in a matchbox cover from the restaurant. Perhaps you went to a show on one Valentine’s Day and want to put in the Playbill from it.
Place in pretty related embellishments
If you go to a store that sells scrapbooking supplies such as Michael’s Arts and Crafts or even just Target, then you will find embellishments that are nice to add to the Valentine’s Day scrapbook page. For instance, you can put a heart ribbon border around your photographs. You can place in stickers of doves. You can glue in Swarovski crystals to make the pages stand out. Other embellishments to consider are beads, sequins, feathers, and so forth. You might want to specifically use red or pink pieces.
A Valentine’s Day scrapbook page can be a great way to remember the day that celebrates love. You can use one or a combination of the above ideas when creating your masterpiece.
